300 Oz. MOTORS ARE HERE!
That's right. All Controller / power supply packages and control board and cabled stepper motor packages are now available with the new THREE AMP 305 In.Oz. torque NEMA 23 size motors!
Don't let the "Numbers Game" fool you. The common denominator to measure work, is watts. Watts, equals volts multiplied by amps. A stepper motor rated at, say, 500 In. Oz. holding torque, is still and all, only going to do the work that it's nameplate rating, in amps, (if the control board is rated for that number of amps, also), multiplied by the control board output voltage, allows. That's it. That's what you need to look at when comparing motors. These motors actually have more power than many motors claiming higher "Holding torque" ratings.
Fully built and tested controllers are completely ready to "Plug and Play". . All that is required is to plug in your motors, configure your software, (not included), connect the included parallel cable to your PC, plug the controller power cord into a convenient 120 volt recepticle, and flip the switch!  Vref  and jumpers are set to your specifications, or our recomendations. NO breakout board required! The necessary  input pins are ready for DIRECT connection! All home and limit connections are very easily made to a barrier strip mounted on rear of controller. No need to open the enclosure. Documentation is included.
All controllers feature control boards, with a
full 3 amps per phase, and include a 24 volt, (34 volt rectified), 10 amp linear power supply. That's almost DOUBLE the power of most other controllers in this size range currently on the market! Supplied "Dual Voltage" transformer comes wired for 120 volts, but can EASILY be rewired for 240 volts.
NO MORE WORRIES ABOUT BLOWN DRIVER CHIPS! NO MORE WAITING!
All "Modular System" controllers include proprietary circuitry to allow you to disconnect or connect motors safely without any wait! All that is required is to turn off the controller. That's it! Just flip the switch or pull the plug, and IMMEDIATELY unplug or plug in motors or cables.

OK, so here it is, (you knew it had to be somewhere), "The fine print"
Software is required, but not provided, to opperate this controller. This controller will opperate using most applications that output step and direction signals to the parallel port of a PC type computer. Controllers are tested running under Mach 3, We do not recommend, endorse, or offer support for this, or any other brand or type of software. Software is supported by the vendor from which you purchase your software. Proper setup of the controller is accomplished through the software, and is required for opperation of the controller.
We will do our best to assist with any questions you might have, however, help with the setup of your software is available through, and the responsibility of, the vendor from which you purchased your software. All controllers are in perfect working order when shipped. When you receive your controller, very carefully open it. READ AND UNDERSTAND THE ENCLOSED DOCUMENTATION IMMEDIATELY! Carefully separate the motors and their cables from one another. Make sure the controller switch is in the OFF position! Connect the motors to the controller, being very careful to make sure ALL male pins are correctly engaged in female pins. On rare occasion,  2 outer most pins can become trapped between the connector housing halves, APPEARING to be engaged. Do not connect the controller to your computer at this time. Plug the controller into an AC recepticle. Turn on the controller. The fan should run, and the motor shafts should be locked. (very difficult or impossible to turn with fingers and thumb. This indicates a properly working controller. If the fan does not run, and / or the motor shafts do not lock, immediately turn off, and unplug the controller. Notify Rural Routers of this condition via e-mail. To date, this has never happened.
Please note that not all computers are compatible with all brands / titles of software. The choice and purchase of the software, and setup of the controller / computer, is the responsibility of the purchaser. All terrms and specifications are subject to change without notice.
